Steve Tunstall

Steve is responsible for managing all aspects of the business, including strategy, finance, sales and marketing. 

Prior to Inzsure, Steve has 30 years of experience and has managed five companies in four countries including two previous start ups. Based in Asia for most of his career with experience in dozens of countries globally, Steve brings a broad-based approach to the management of both risk and opportunities.

His previous roles include:

  • Head of Compliance, Insurance, Legal and Risk at Cathay Pacific and risk advisor to the rest of the Swire Group
  • Vice President of Risk for Genting Singapore & Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), responsible for enterprise-wide risk management, insurance and business continuity management
  • Managing Director for Jardine Pacific, Schindler Lifts Singapore

Steve holds a MSc in Project Management & Risk, BSc in Surveying and a Diploma in M&E Engineering. He is also a Member of the Institute of Risk Management, the Business Continuity Institute, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Association for Project Management and the Association of Cost Engineers.

Steve also holds the following positions:

Robin Lee 李显龙

Robin is responsible for managing the overall experience of the business. 

He is of Chinese-Malaysian descent and was born and raised in the United Kingdom. He began his career in Silicon Valley in various startups within the Compliance space. After 6 years, Robin proceeded to Wall Street where he worked in the hedge fund industry for 4 years covering technology companies as a Trader, Research Analayst and Portfolio Manager.  Following 3 years in the Compliance education industry, Robin embraced his combined experience and launched The Governance Risk AML Compliance Ethics Foundation (G.R.A.C.E.), an edtech/regtech firm which was subsequently acquired by RHTLaw Taylor-Wessing, the 2nd largest law firm in Singapore. Following the completion of the integration of G.R.A.C.E. within RHT, Robin joined Datarama, a RegTech firm that specializes in Digitally Enhanced Due Diligence while simultaneously brainstorming the concept and formation of Inzsure, where he is now based full time.

Robin also sits on the advisory boards of the International Cybercrime and Forensics Examiners (Fraud Consulting), Governance Risk and Compliance Investments and Technology (RegTech Investments) and Dynamic GRC (RegTech). He previously sat on the board of Game Lab X (Video Games Publishing) which has since been acquired.

He has also conducted numerous technology-related training sessions with global financial institutions (Standard Chartered, HSBC, Goldman Sachs, AmBank), MNC’s (Apple, NetApp, Google, Facebook), SME’s and government entities (MAS, OJK, Securities Commission Malaysia, Bank Negara and the US Department of Justice). He is also a regular speaker at conferences (IQPC, Financial Times, AIF, Asian Banker, Event Creation Network). 

He has an MBA from Santa Clara University and an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Computer Science and Management from Kings College London. He has also attained the Diploma in Compliance, the Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering and the Certificate in Financial Crime Prevention from the International Compliance Association, the Singapore Real Estate Salesperson’s Exam, Business Chinese from the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and additional qualifications in Design Thinking, User Experience and Cryprocurrencies. 

Robin is also a wing chun kung-fu practioner, an avid runner, a professional songwriter (including 2 years with Sony UK) and a registered actor with the American Screen Actor’s Guild. 

He currently resides in Singapore and is married with a daughter.

Assen Tchorbadjiev

Assen is responsible for the technology platform vision and oversight at Inzsure.

He is from Bulgaria and moved to the US in 2009. After landing briefly in Kansas City, he transitioned to the West Coast and has been based in San Francisco ever since.

Assen’s whole career has been focused on technology, having started as a software developer. From early on, his areas of competency has diversified to include system engineering, system operations and integration with hi recent growth expanding into leadership roles. 

A significant part of his career was spent in the web hosting industry where he led the development of various platforms and applications serving both business and consumer clients, as well as the ground up ideation and implementation of globally distributed software development, DevOps and QA teams.

Recently, Assen has been highly sought after in the technology consulting field and has been working on a wide range of technology and business challenges for clients in the financial, professional service and non-profit sectors. This includes the orchestration and leadership of multiple large-scale cloud deployment and application development projects, development of solution architectures and the establishment and management of client relationships.

Besides keeping up with modern technology trends, he has very strong interest in emerging BlockChain based solutions that affecting business, technology and society as a whole.

Assen loves to ride motorcycles, be it road bikes, super sports or dirt bikes. He also enjoys everything outdoors – sailing, rowing, hiking and loves to travel the world.

Kerry Washington

CEO, Grunt Software, Inc

A native Californian with 20 years of technical and management experience in Silicon Valley, Kerry has been focusing on application development for the past 10 years. Prior to this, he was fundamental in the development, Go-To-Market strategy and partner/client success management on the hardware and software side of the digital video industry. This journey took Kerry to Asia and Europe where he resided for several years making him one of the first bridges to Silicon Valley for these jurisdictions for this particular vertical.

A graduate of Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business, Kerry earned his Master’s of Business of Administration focusing International Business and Finance in 2008.

He currently consults startups in a wide variety of industries including robotic surgery, social commerce, financial compliance to internal enterprise mobile applications.

Pierre Noel

Enterprise Chief Security and Privacy Officer at Huawei

Pierre is the Enterprise Chief Security & Privacy Officer at Huawei, the Fortune 500 Information and Communication Technology Company.

Pierre has over 30 years of international experience on Information Security and Enterprise Risk Management.

He designed and built complete CyberSecurity and Enterprise Risk Management environments for Governments, Finance, Transport and large conglomerate industries over the World.

Pierre is a member of the board of advisors of Airbus Group, and he also sits on the board of the Pan-Asia Risk & Insurance Management Association (PARIMA) and Board of the executive council of the Cloud Security Association (CSA).

Jasmine Rogers

Program Manager, Google, Inc

Jasmine started her career in the hardware space focusing on components procurement, analysis and training. 

She then had the opportunity to join Google where she has held various roles for the past 13 years. As a program manager, Jasmine has overseen several products from idea to development to launch with a razor focus and interest in User Experience. 

Jasmine is an avid video gamer and is also in the process of launching a Silicon Valley-style apparel organization. 

Gaurav Rekhi

Founder and CEO at Home On

Gaurav is currently building a startup around home automation. He is hands-on Product Management professional with over 15 years of experience in leadership roles in companies like eBay, Cardinal and several startups. He takes on an entrepreneurial and customer focused approach in driving product innovation through data analysis and leading direct and cross-functional teams.

Chairman of the International Insurance Society Ambassador Program

David Piesse is the Chairman of the International Insurance Society Ambassador program and ambassador for Asia Pacific reporting to New York Headquarters. The IIS, www.iisonline.org, is the only truly Global Insurance Society in the world promoting new risk strategies and advice from the insurance industry via technology thought leadership forums and business research outlets. 

David Piesse is also the Managing Director and Head of Asia Pacific for Ultimate Risk Solutions , an independent financial modeling and predictive analytics company. He is in charge of the RBC and DFA/ECM models for clients in reinsurance strategies, portfolio optimization , surplus allocation, asset liability matching, catastrophe risk, market risk, operational and underwriting risk within an Enterprise Risk management platform closely aligned to the solvency regulations of the region, www.ultirisk.com. 

David Piesse is an advisory board member of Guardtime and international insurance adviser www.guardtime.com which is establishing standards in data governance and compliance for Industrial Blockchain for defence, government and telco industries and is helping to establish the global insurance and financial services blueprint for the company and is involved in all aspects of cyber liability as an emerging risk. He is a frequent speaker at cyber conference worldwide on cyber liability and the use of blockchain technology for data centric security and data provenance.. Guardtime was founded in Estonia which is the e-digital society. He is a publisher of blockchain white papers with EY. 
David Piesse is also member of the Advisory Board of ASIARE Holdings who own CATAYTICS and CARMA the ASEAN climate change catastrophe event database. He is a practitioner in microinsurance applications, www.catalytics.com

David started his career at Lloyds of London and was a global risk management consultant with the United Nations for 7 years operating on all continents. He was the Global Head of Insurance and Head of Financial Services for Asia Pacific for SUN Microsystems 2004-2009 prior to his recent appointments in 2010. David Piesse is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and the British Computer Society. 

Astrid F. Kowlessar

Managing Director of Business Strategy Vezta Triumph Ltd

Astrid has over 15 years of strategic planning, governance, capitalization and project development expertise. She has been named in the Top 250 global corporate governance professionals by the Agilience Authority Index.

Astrid currently acts as Managing Director of Business Strategy to Vezta Triumph Ltd., a management consultancy based out of Miami, Florida and Trinidad W.I. Vezta Triumph Ltd. works with a boutique of private clients based on the TEAM model for Comprehensive Strategic Planning (CSP) and Sustainable Project Management (SPM). In September 2009, Astrid developed the Sustainable Corporate Governance (SCG) Model for Vezta Triumph Ltd., developing business continuity as a subset of corporate social responsibility. She was interviewed concerning the SCG model by the International Alternative Investment Review.

At Citigroup Corporate and Investment Bank (Trinidad & Tobago), Astrid assisted Citi’s local and New York based deal team as Energy Risk Analyst for the pioneering US$750 million 15 Year 144 A international bond offering of the Petroleum Company of Trinidad & Tobago Gasoline Optimization Project. She worked briefly as part of a select Banco Citibank Brazil team, focusing on a portfolio of 33 conglomerate client relationships within the energy, infrastructure and retail sectors in the Caribbean and Central America. Upon leaving Citigroup, Astrid supported the deal closure team as Account Executive for Barbadian securities firm Sagicor Merchant Ltd., a subsidiary of Sagicor Life Inc.

Astrid has been extensively involved in startup business structure and capitalization. From 2011, Astrid served as Managing Partner of Sente Capital LLC based out of San Mateo, California. The Sente Capital Early Stage Venture Capital (ESV) Fund, a boutique fund of US$100 million, comprised early stage ventures and technology intellectual property in the Information Technology, Clean Tech, and Life Sciences industries. Astrid is currently author at STARTUS, the top European startup hub based in Vienna, Austria, with a recent focus on various Silicon Valley startup valuation techniques for pre-revenue startups. Astrid joined the Stanford University Technology Entrepreneurship (TE) program via NovoEd as a mentor in 2016, after completing the TE program as a student.

Astrid is an advocate of financial policy within the banking, insurance and private equity industries. She provides thought leadership through the Financial Policy Council based out of Manhattan, New York. She is an affiliate member of trade advocacy group Business Forward out of Washington D.C. and has thus provided the US International Trade Commission with formal testimonial supporting free trade. She is a member of the SME Alliance Ltd., which provides lobbying for small businesses in the United Kingdom. She is an advocate of human rights via Globcal International, an NGO supportive to Goodwill Ambassadors.

Astrid has a B.S. in Economics/Finance and a B.A. in International Studies from Barry University, Miami Shores Florida. She is currently pursuing executive continuing education via Stanford University, and has recently become certified in Public Procurement with the World Bank Group.
